MONTRÉAL— Liberal Post Secondary Education, Youth and Amateur Sport critic Justin Trudeau made the following statement today on the closing of the Summer Paralympic Games in London:
“As the Games conclude and our athletes return home, they should feel great pride in their accomplishments. Team Canada inspired us with their resilience and determination, finding great success, achieving personal bests and reaching the podium.
At this summer’s Paralympic Games, our athletes demonstrated to the world the kind of competitive spirit and dedication that comes with representing Canada.
On behalf of the Liberal Party of Canada and our Parliamentary Caucus, I would like to congratulate all of our athletes and thank the organizers, coaches and volunteers who made these games so memorable.”
